October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Dr. Conrad Tirre and staff would like to remind you to create your early detection plan and encourage others to do the same. An early detection plan should include monthly self-breast exams, clinical exams, and mammograms. Statistically speaking, 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. When breast cancer is detected early (localized), the 5 year survival rate is 100%.* (*American Cancer Society) Visit Early Detection for more information and to create your own early detection plan via their website or app. Learn more about Breast Reconstruction options available by Dr. Conrad Tirre.
